For this position you will have successfully completed an Engineering Apprenticeship and have a Minimum 5 years CNC experience.

You will be responsible for overseeing a team of workers involved in the production process. Role includes (but not limited to):

  • To ensure that machines are running at all times by helping to optimize downtime during changeovers. As well as covering any absences in the section.
  • To prepare and manage the schedule boards ensuring that machines and people are utilized to the optimum.
  • To attend group meetings prepared to discuss cell matters
  • To take responsibility for supervision of the members of their immediate team.
  • To take responsibility for organising and coordinating work content for their team.
  • To report any problems and help deliver solutions that get in the way of them getting the best from their section.

General Summary:

  • Accountable and responsible for their designated area
  • Ensure the safe and efficient running of the Cell at all times
  • Ability to provide resolve and provide solutions to any issues which may arise.
  • Ability to manage in demanding situations and make sound decisions.
  • Self-disciplined and able to work on own initiative.
  • CNC setting Turning & Milling experience  

For this permanent role you will need drive and ambition as there is potential to grow into more senior roles at this Precision Engineering company based in Hertford.
