Our clients are a leading UK manufacturer of electronic lighting control solutions. They have an exciting new opportunity are seeking a Software Engineer to join our Design and Development team based in Ware, Hertfordshire.

This is a permanent full-time position, working with an experienced team across a range of platforms. The role will be primarily focussed on creating code using Node.js and JavaScript, running on an embedded Linux platform.

The duties as Software Engineer include:-

• Design, develop, code and debug software, primarily using Node.js and JavaScript running on an embedded Linux platform.
• Use appropriate software to develop an embedded web server including front and back-end web development.
• Enhance and further develop our Cloud Server product.
• Integrate and validate new and existing product designs.
• Assess third party and open-source software.

The successful Software Engineer candidate will have:

• BSc in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or similar.
• Minimum of 3 years solid programming experience in Node.js, JavaScript and Linux.
• Experience in working with embedded web servers and cloud-based solutions
